It's a Boy!

Bit later than promised as I had one of those headaches yesterday that was not going anywhere fast so thought best to stay off computer. My daughter asked me to make her a baby card for a close friend but they had no idea of what she was having, so to play safe I coloured two images in ..one pink and one blue. Typically, all my suitable papers and paper pads were already boxed up so I just had my scraps file of plain cardstock to use. Emma choose the baby Humphrey stamp and thats quite big so there was not going to be tons of room for much else anyway. Luckily I thought to keep my box of embossing folders out, so good old Swiss Dots was used to create the border. The image was coloured in Prisma Pencils for a change.

Heres the boys version, very simple I used the square nestabilities to mat and layer and I used my new stamps fom Emma at Imaginethat Papercrafts to the wording along the bottom.

Products used:

Stamps: Crafters Companion Baby Humphrey, Paula Pascual sentiment, Imaginethat papercrafts Line it up.
Punches/Dies: Spellbinders Squares and EK Success corner punch, Cuttlebug Swiss Dots embsooing folder
Colouring: Prisma Pencils,Sandsador
Embellishments: Ribbon and buttons from stash

As I had the baby girl image all coloured in and everything was out I made that into a card as well. Slightly different in that I used a larger scalloped edge card and an old stamp for the wording...wrappers long gone and I cant remember whose it is. Otherwise the card is the same as the boys.

Have a great weekend

Flying Frog

I have managed to grab another little break from packing boxes to finish off this card. The image was one I used in a recent promarker class and never got around to making into a card. It also gave me an excuse { if one was needed!!} to play with my new Bitty Blossoms die from Spellbinders.

Products used:

Stamps: Nellie Snellen Flying Frog, Paula Pascual sentiment
Papers: My Minds Eye { free in a mag}
Punches: EK Success Rose Bush 2 in 1 border punch
Die: Spellbinders Bitty Blossoms
Colouring: Promarkers
Embellishments: Kaisercraft gems and Doily from stash

The leaves are included in the Bitty Blosoms set and I have added some gems in the centre for a change. The border was done with a new Ek Success punch...you can have it two ways, either a seperate border as I have done or along the bottom of a piece of cardstock still attached.

Had a request from Emma for a baby card....guess where all my baby papers are ...in a box so clean and simple was the only choice, come back tomorrow for a looksie!

Hope you are enjoying this great weather!
