Craftwork Cards Suits You Sir

A couple of cards today using the Suits You Sir paper pad and die cuts from Craftwork Cards

I used a YouTube video to help me make the tie but I cant find the one I used but here is a link to a better one. I then adapted the cardbase to make a collar.

The second card uses some of the tiny ties on one of the papers, with simple matting behind.

Wedding Hearts

Todays card uses another new stamp set from Woodware Wedding Hearts

I decided to go with a distressed look using Tim Holtz ink pads and paint. Love how the paint resists the ink and shows through.

The heart stamp was inked, stamped and embossed with clear embossing powder. The hearts were then cut out and re attached with foam pads. I edged the outline of the hearts with some of the Pewter paint.

Products used:

Stamps: Woodware Wedding Hearts, Justrite Dotted Fronds, Paula Pascual Congratulation messages
Paint: Tim Holtz Brushed Pewter paint dabber
Ink: Distress ink Tattered Rose, Worn Lipstick, Dusty Concord and Shaded Lilac. Black Archival and Black pigment.
Embossing powder: Clear detail
Cardstock: Tim Holtz Watercolour card, Black from stash
Embellishments: Mark Richards Black pearls

Jeepers Creepers

Woodware have released their new stamps and I used one in class last week. Ideal for young men/boys and even girls who love their Converse's. Just change the colours to suit. These are 5 3/4" square cards so you get idea of size.

The grey one I simply stamped on grey textured cardstock with black ink and coloured the edges with a grey Promarker. Star image was stamped onto white and coloured with grey Promarker and punched out with 1/2", attached with foam pad.

This one was stamped onto white cardstock twice, with black ink again and coloured the left hand shoe a red promarker. I coloured the right hand side shoe again on the second stamped image, cut out and mounted back onto the first image with foam pads. The star was stamped and coloured with same pen and punched out with 1/2" circle punch.

This last one was stamped onto some off white cardstock with black ink and then stamped and embossed onto black card with white embossing powder. The top parts of the shoe were cut out and then attached back onto the off white card with foam pads. The main reason for doing the card in off white was once I used the white embossing powder on my black card it wasn't very "white". I think it might have been my old powder as in class with newer embossing powder it was more "whiter" than mine.

All 3 cards had a simply stitched line going around the edge to form a frame and the saying comes in the set, together with a heart, star and leaf icon.
