Split Easel Card

Happy Friday, not long until the weekend!! Today I'm showing you a card that I call a split easel. It fits in a 7x5 envelope, but you can play around and make them different sizes. I used some patterned papers and I picked out some colours from the paper in matching cardstock, thought it would make a change from White. The second photo shows the glittered sentiment in more detail. Its an old technique using double sided adhesive paper that you stick on top of the sentiment you have stamped. Peel off the sticky and sprinkle with glitter. In this case I did stick the frame to the sentiment after I had peeled backing off sticky sheet and then applied glitter. Getting anything to stick down onto glittered areas can be a problem.

Christmas Wreath

Hi there, I have another Christmas card to share today using some Stampin'Up products. I used the leaves die in the Frosted Frame die set and cut them six times. There is a small and larger leaf so you can cut both at once. The Silver paper is one of the reverse patterns on the Feels Like Frost papers. Finished off with a sentiment from the Itty Bitty stamps and I finished with some twine and Red gems. I did add some Wink of Stella glitter pen to leaves, but its hard to photograph.

Sip Sip

Today's card uses a stamp set from Stampin'Up called Sip Sip. It comes with different glasses and I used the Martini style one to make it look like a Mint Martini cocktail. I don't drink but I used google to help me lol. The rim has been sprinkled with glitter, which doesn't show very well in picture. Great set to use for any celebration and coordinating dies are available.

Heart Cut File

I recently treated myself to a Cricut Air 2 and I had downloaded this cut file from the Silhouette store to use on a scrapbook page. I decided it would also make a great Anniversary card, so I just downsized to fit on my card blank. I cut the hearts in different papers and on some white card and attached together, just to support the foam pads more.  I did some stamping on the border down the left hand side. Finished off with some ribbon and a bow.

Sailing Home

I had a few images left over from a recent class and I used them to make this card. The background has been created with Seaside Spray ink on Watercolour cardstock. It has been die cut using the Nested Label dies, with a Night of Navy mat behind using same set. I stamped and die cut the Anchor, Wheel and Compass in Soft Suede ink. I used a little of same ink to colour the boats. Paper is from the Come Sail Away range.

Magnolia Frame Card

Happy Sunday, I hope you are having a lovely day. Today's card was made using the large Magnolia flower stamp and die. In the stamp set you get this border stamp, which is made to go with the border die. I suddenly thought this week , it would also work for a frame. I used the Stamparatus, so all I had to do was rotate this cardstock, once I had positioned my stamp where I wanted it.

Pressed Petals Specialty Washi tape

Hi there, my card today uses the Washi tape from the Pressed Petal range. This Washi tape comes in a set of two. One is a thin text tape and the other individual petals. When arranged in a circle they make a flower. I finished off with one of the flower centres , these can even be coloured to suit your card. The sentiment is on one of the Stitched Nested Label dies and I created the background using the new Birchwood stamp. To help arrange the flowers, I punched a tiny circle from scrap card and dabbed talc on back of Washi petals to remove sticky. Then it was just a case of adding a tiny dab of glue at base and arranging petals. I added some leaves from a punch to finish. Your get 100 petals on the roll, I chose to have seven petals but you could get away with five.

Butterfly Gala

This card was also from my class last week. It uses the Stampin'Up Butterfly Gala stamp and coordinating punch. The Butterflies have outlines and solid stamps to fill in wing areas. I used a dauber to blend two colours onto their wings. The background stamp is from Artisan Textures and has been stamped in Grey Granite ink. I used one of the Stitched Nested Labels dies and a sentiment from Beautiful Bouquet stamp set. The background has been created using a Versamark ink pad on Grey Granite card. The card has been finished off with some of the Polka Dot Tulle ribbon.

Good Morning Magnolia

Yesterday I had my first class since loosing my dad, luckily I soon got back into my stride again. Although it was still a bit hot the ladies did a great job and everyone had, including myself and Kerry, a lovely day. I am going to post over the next week or so the cards they made. Every card used products from the 2019/2020 annual Stampin'Up catalogue.

Todays card is a tent fold and uses the Magnolia stamp from the Good Morning Magnolia stamp set. This is a large stamp and I have coloured it with the SU Blends. The striped paper is from the matching paper and the sentiment is in same stamp set. The border die comes with co-ordinating die set. I created a soft blended background using Petal Pink ink and a brush.

Happy Easter

I hope you are all having a wonderful day and eating lots of chocolate. Although maybe not if you are sunning yourselves outside in gorgeous weather. Today I have a little chocolate box I made to hold some little eggs as a gift for a friend. I have made this style before (think it was Christmas) but saw an adapted version on Pinterest with a top opening. The gingham cardstock is from Stampin Up and the colour is Balmy Blue.  I added some Butterflies from some of the DSP papers that were in the SAB promotion.
