Easter Basket

Another Easter card today, this time using a SVG file to cut the basket, as I dont have a die.  I used the same egg stamps as I used on yesterdays card and the rabbit at the back is from Memory Box. I finished off with a sentiment across the bottom.

Memory Box Pinpoint Leaf Circle

This is the last card I did from my kit. I used the smallest flowers from the Vintage Lace set. I cut a frame using the Pinpoint Leaf circle die and this die cuts the middle out. I backed it with some grey card and added a sentiment. The papers were in the kit and I added some tiny black gems in the flower centers.

Memory Box Pinpoint Leaf Circle die
Paula Pascual sentiment stamp

Happy Easter part 2

Good morning, here are my other two Easter cards . The first one is for my mum an dad and the other one I made three of for each of my children and their other halves. A friend lent me some of the dies and stamps, so thanks Gill.

First up the tulip card uses a die from Crafters Companion.  I hadn't seen this die before, but it's prefect for any Easter or Spring birthday card. I die cut it in white card and then used distress ink and a blending tool to add colour. The background is a frame from Sue Wilson Adorned Rectangles from the Noble collection die set. I run it through my machine and then stuck it to a piece of double sided adhesive and then threw glitter all over it. I raised it up on some foam pads so it created an aperture for the tulips. The sentiment is from Clearly Bessotted and I just matted that and the card base with some card from my stash.

The second card uses a wreath die from Memory Box, this card is my version of  a lovely card Gill had made. I used an old little flower punch to embellish it and I added a little distress ink to the leaves on the wreath. The background was made using a Joy cloud die that I cut out of some card and then used the waste part as a stencil to blend some distress ink through to create the sky. The bunny stamp, die and sentiment is from Papertrey Ink. I die cut the tail in felt as my little pom poms are in loft with Christmas bits. The bow die is from Sue Wilson again, like yesterdays. A few little pearls to flower centres to finish off.

I hope you enjoy what's left of the bank holiday weekend.

March Christmas card

Today is the 25th so its time for a Christmas card. Its been so cold this week, I had to get my gloves out again to walk the dog. When I got back I had to put the heating back on and make soup to warm up before heading to my craft room to make these cards. I had to remind myself it is almost April and not November !! Anyway, onto the card, I wanted to use something that I had brought and never used...well there's a surprise !! So I found my Memory Box Precious Snowflake die and using the inlaid technique ( well that's what I call it ) and this is what I made.

I used the cream shimmer cardstock from Stampin'Up and made my card base to 5" square. I cut another piece of the cream card and die cut the two snowflakes out. This piece was them backed with some double sided adhesive.

I die cut the snowflakes again in Stampin Up soft sky cardstock and laid them back to cream cardstock so they were attached to the double sided sticky. Then I sprinkled glitter all over to cover the rest of the sticky areas. Down the side I masked off an area and stamped with the coordinating soft sky ink a little cluster of snowflakes from the Indigo Blu Seasons Greeting set and then drew a line with a ruler and a black fine liner pen. I stamped the sentiment in black which is from one of my Clearly Besotted sets using my misti. I found some little gems in my stash that match the soft sky perfectly. I love my Itty Bitty bow die from Sue Wilson, so used that for a finishing touch. Lastly,  it was matted onto some soft sky cardstock and mounted onto card base.

Managed to make three the same to add to my others from last month

Back on Sunday with my Mothers day card, have a great weekend and hope you get time to squeeze in some crafting.
