Pan Pastels

I have been having a play with these fabulous new mediums, I only have a few of the 80 colours available but they are addictive. I have a class this week using them but after the cards were made I carried on and made a few extras to put in my card box.

Today is my friend Carols birthday and this is the card I made for her, its uses some of my Inkylicious stamps which have been neglected for far too long in my stamp draw.

Products used:

Stamps: Inkylicious Meadow Breeze & Lattice,  Justrite Large Fancy Sentiments
Pan Pastels: Turquoise and Bright Yellow Green
Dies: Spellbinders Labels 18
Embellishments: Stampin'Up ribbon and gems from stash

I used a nestie to die cut some white card and then leaving the die in the card, blended some pan pastels inside and then gently lifted the die off. This leaves you with a white border which I quite like. I then stamped the image inside and for a more striking image I used black ink. The background is just a piece of card with the same colour pans blended over and then the lattice stamp inked with black again stamped over the coloured card and cut to size and the corners rounded with a corner rounder punch and matted on black cardstock. The sentiment is again stamped with black ink on an off cut I had from the card I had coloured for the background. Finished off with some ribbon and gems. I have been sealing my images with cheap hair spray but after seeing Andy's fabulous demo yesterday as Pinnacles you could use Crafters Companion glitter or gloss sprays to seal...which of course ended up in my basket for use in future cards !!!

Have a great Sunday, weathers looking good here shame theres nothing for me to do in the garden so a day in the craft room it is...other than keeping the tea coming for hubby whilst he paints the fence!!
