Happy Easter

I have spent the last few days making some Easter cards, finally I can grab some time to post them on here.

Today I will show you the cute ones I made with a Docrafts Bunny stamp, its not from this current promo, they did some small stamps from the Country Companions range. They are very reasonably priced and stamp very well. I grabbed this bunny as I thought it would make some great Easter cards but you could just as easily use it and adapt to other occassions.

For a change I used pencils and Sansador with paper stumps to blend, I had forgotten what a lovely effect they make.

I made two cards for my son and daughter and other halves but the one for my son I keep a bit more plainer and just added some buttons.

I paper pierced the jumpers using the papers from the Basic Grey lemonade collection and I simply punched an oval using a Stampin'Up punch and stamped the sentiment using an old Penny Black stamp. The first card also uses the Hexagon die from Die-namics.

Back tomorrow with another card and the Easter goodies bags I gave out yesterday at my crop. I hope you all have a lovely Easter...I have a house full for dinner tonight so best I start tidying up..lol!

Happy Mothers Day

to all Mummys out there who are celebrating their Mothers day today!

Here is the card I made my Mum, I had a route around my flowers stamps and this Kanban stamp called me. So I die cut some card with a Nestabilitie labels die , left it on afterwards to sponge some ink inside and that way it leaves a white edge. The flowers were stamped afterwards and made a frame with the other sizes in the set and cut again with double sided sticky paper. Accent beads were sprinkled on top, love the effect this gives. The frame was then attached with foam pads. The lattice die is simply cut for the background and SO much easier with a metal adaptor plate....if you dont have one and love intricate dies ....get yourself one. They come in 2 sizes to fit either a cuttlebug or a Big shot. A piece of ribbon and hat pin to finish and the sentiment punched out with a word window punch.

Closer look at the frame

Steampunk Tag

Not a card but a tag today, the last thing we made at a recent Steampunk class. The cogs were made with some silver sticky DIY tape I buy at alidi's or lidl's. I just cut off what you need, peel off the backing and attach to some card to give it some support and put through your die cutting machine. It also embosses really well.

Steampunk card 2

Completely forgot that I had not posted the rest of my Steampunk cards....I blame the stinking cold I have at moment ;( Anyway here it is, I used alchol inks to make the background. I used to love using these inks when I first started making cards. I wanted to do a Steampunk card with a femine theme and this Sam Poole stamp worked a treat.

Products used:

Ranger Alchol inks: Cranberry, Lettuce, Stonewashed, Silver, Blending solution
Stamps: Creative Expressions Dreams
Card: Black, white glossy and silver mirror
Ink: Black Stazon and Silver pigment

Always use glossy card with alchol inks and I sponged some of the silver ink around the edges. I used Stazon but have found out since the Archival inks have been reformulated to use on alchol inks, so that might work better. I also used some blending solution on the felt to soften the colours into something a bit more muted.

I am also taking bookings for an all day workshop with myself and Emma from Imaginethat papercraft in Upminister . Deatils are on the side bar and booking is now open, so if you fancy a day away from house work to play with glue, paper, paint and wood let me know!!
