Christening card

Thought we would have a break from Christmas cards today, I was asked by my daughter to make a Christening card last month and thought I would do something a little more personal. I got here to take a pic of Poppy's hand holding her mummy's finger, I printed it out in black and white and this is the finished card

The stamp was borrowed so cant be sure of the make, the branch punch is from Martha Stewart, the paper flowers are from my stash. I used some pearl brads for the flower centres and some pearl sprays to add some texture. The Die at the back is a Spellbinders and the bow die is from Die-namics. Papers are some old Craftwork Cards.

Have a great weekend, be back soon with more cards

Acetate class

Love using acetate on cards and for this class we used two different types, the thick one to make a card base as it needs to be strong enough to stand up. The second one, a thinner type was suitable for just stamping on but use the correct ink or else it wont dry....for these cards I used White Stazon.

Products used:

Stamps: Indigoblu Christmas Greeting, Sam Poole Silhouette Poinsettia
Dies/Punch: Martha Stewart Branch, Tim Holtz Festive Greenery { swirls},Spellbinder Labels 22
Papers: Echo Park Reflections
Extras: Distress Ink Festive Berries, White Stazon Ink, Red Gingham ribbon, Yellow pearls

Second card, hard to photograph again but the base is 12" x 6" and scored in half. You also need to remember to cover all your glue with layers of card as you can see it. The red glitter was adhered to adhesive sheets instead of using wet glue.

Products used:

Stamps: Indigoblu Snowflakes { from sentiment set} Crafty Impressions Bauble sentiment
Dies: Spellbinders labels
Extras: Cosmic Shimmer Red polished glitter, Mirror card, Gems, White ribbon, double sided adhesive sheet, silver glitter gel pen.

Back tomorrow with some cards using gilding flakes

White on White class

I love doing this style of card this time of year, this class was quite die cut heavy as you can't use many stamps and still retain the White on White feel. I also always use the same cardstock to make the entire card, from the base up. If you use prescored cards from a pack they will be a different shade of white to your A4 card so make the cards yourself.

First card uses some of the new Die'sire die cuts and my old ribbler machine, had for years but always brought out to make these cards to add some texture and dimension.

Products used:

Dies:  Die'sire Trees and Ivy, Spellbinders Ovals
Embossing Folder: Cuttlebug Swiss Dots
Stamps: Crafty Impressions
Extras: Stampendous Flocking, ribbler, White ribbon, gems

Second card uses my favourite Tim Holtz Snowflake Rosettes die and a new embossing folder from Crafters Companion. Its not easy to photo this one but the snowflakes are made from glitter card.

Products used:

Dies: Tim Holtz Snowflakes Sizzlet decorative Snowflake and Mini Snowflake rosette
Embossing folder: Die'sire Snowflakes 6"

All that glitters class

I am determined this week to catch up with posting cards from my classes at Forget me knot over the last few weeks.

First up is all that glitters class the Poinsettia background stamp is from Stampendous, which was coloured in with Promarkers and inked around the edges with Distress ink. We then used Ranger sticky embossing powder and Tim Holtz Distress Rock Candy glitter. Sentiment is from Indigoblu.

The second card uses a snowflake mask from That Special Touch, Cosmic Shimmer glitters and another sentiment from Indigoblu. Finished off with some Nailheads, ribbon and some mirror card. The mask are quite big so this is a 8x8 card.
