Fun Folds : Card No. 4

Another in the series of fun folds and today's card is a concertina one , when this folds in it will fit in a 6" envelope. It's slightly different in that it as three folds down the side. It stands up really well and you could cut it down some of the height if you wanted to make it smaller. I used a piece of 10"x 6" white card.

On the long side score are 2", 2.5", 3" and 3.5" then turn it around and do the same at other end.
The patterned paper mats are 5 3/4" x 1 3/4" you need 2 one for each end.
Middle panel of patterned paper 5 3/4" x 2 3/4"
Folded panels of patterned paper 5 3/4" x 1/4" and you need 6. I used one piece of paper and glued them down so pattern continues over the three pieces.

For the middle I used John Next Door Tatty Daisy dies again ( I sat and made a load of these one night) The centres are made from Flowersoft. I arranged some Creative Expression leaf dies around the flowers. The sentiment die cuts came with the Craftwork Paper pad kit , so they match. No idea what range it is as I have thrown packaging away.

Fun Folds: Card No. 3

Its the weekend, I hope you get some time to craft. Its International Scrapbooking Day so I am spending this weekend playing with some lovely new papers and embellishments etc I have had delivered.

Today's card is a Tri Fold card and its held together with a belly band. It's a bit more involved and you could do it with just one layer of patterned paper and no mats, it wouldn't be as thick. I dug out some old Craftwork Cards papers for my sample. I used a very old Honey Doo flower for the centre, its been heated embossed with White powder on coloured card. Its something I have been doing a lot recently.

Here is the link to the blog post and video where I got my inspiration

Here is what it looks like closed

Products used:

Craftwork Cards Scrumptious part 3

Few more cards from the Scrumptious kit today. First one I die cut a circle in the card base and the patterned paper and attached a piece of vellum in between. the circle was then surrounded by candi on foam pads and a circle sentiment attached in the middle with some flowers. I also die cut a circle the same size as sentiment to go on back to cover glue.

Next card uses one of the rectangular toppers cut in half to extend it to size of card base. Then on top and bottom one of the borders from the patterned papers and two circle dies in the centre with flowers cut out from one of the papers and a sentiment in the middle. The leaves are from Sue Wilson.

Third one is a C6 card, it has a simple rectangle of paper down the side matted onto some mocha card. One of the toppers again and some die cut flowers. Two of the sentiments and the Sue Wilson Itty Bitty Bow again.

Last one uses the Vines die from Sue Wilson that I have used a lot in previous classes. Just cut out in white card this time and back with patterned paper. I sandwiched some acetate behind and added the sentiment in the middle and some of the last die cut flowers.

Hope you have enjoyed seeing all these cards from the kit.

Craftwork Cards Scrumptious Part 2

Carrying on from yesterday post, here a two more cards using the Craftwork Cards Scrumptious kit.

First one uses one of the topper and I drew a rectangle with a ruler and pencil and with a craft knife cut out to leave a frame. The pink and the turquoise flowers are from the die cut sheets and the remaining flowers and leaves are from one of the patterned papers . Its a C6 size card and I finished off with some candi and a sentiment from the die cut sheets.

Second card is a large square card. I took the "To a special friend....topper from the sheet and then carefully trimmed the frame out from sheet it came out of. I backed that with some of the turquoise paper. I used four of the flowers from the die cut sheet, one of which are the rolled ones. There are some leaves and flowers from the patterned papers again. I used some Mocha Foundations card and some of the papers on the card base. Finished off with a sentiment banner and some more candi.

Back tomorrow with a few more

Craftwork Cards Scrumptious kit

Over the next few days I am posting cards I made using the Craftwork Cards Scrumptious kit. I held a class yesterday using it. The ladies each got a third of a kit each, so 2 pages of 6 designs papers and 3 sheets of die cuts which included flowers, toppers and sentiments. In total I made 9 cards with my kit and still had papers left over.

Here are the three they made yesterday in class. First one uses some of the patterned papers behind a piece of vellum. I used Wow Platinum embossing powder and red liner tape on the top and on the larger heart. The smaller heart was die cut from a scrap of card I inked and embossed with same powder. Finished off with some candi which comes in kit and some liquid pearls.

Second card, I made an aperture using a Presscut stitched rectangle dies and used some of the rolled up flowers from the dies cuts. A topper , sentiment and some more candi. I also added some glitter on the swirls but its not showing on photo.

Last one for today uses circle dies to create a card base, then using more of the papers and the die cut flowers to decorate. I also cut some of the flowers and leaves from one of the papers to add some more detail to card. I used some Ranger liquid pearl in Platinum to add some dots. Finished off with Sue Wilson Itty Bitty bow die.

Back tomorrow with some cards from this kit

Magic of Christmas part 3

Here are a few more cards using the Magic of Christmas kit from Craftwork Cards. For the first one I used some Kraft cardstock to make a round frame using my circle cutter. I used the waste from the die cut sheets with some paper behind them for the accents on the side. Bow is from the coordinating pad. I used a Die'sire 6x6 Snowflake embossing folder behind.

Next one I used some of the die cut waste again for the middle and made a square from kraft card and cut a cross in the middle so the flaps opened out. Each one was covered with some paper from the pad and finished off with some snowflake punches and a bow.

The third one uses the Woodware bubble tree stamp from this year and I have added candi, pearls, gems and glitter glue in the smaller circles. The sentiment comes with the stamp set. I have used chalks to colour the card around the stamp.

Back tomorrow with a crushed candi card

Magic of Christmas part 2

First card tonight, very quick and easy using one of the die cut sentiments and a bow from the pad and a Mark Richards nailhead in the centre.

The second one uses 6 of the tags from the tag pad, 3 different designs 2 of each. I cut an aperture in the front of one of each design and added some snowflake punches, some die cuts and 3 bows on top. The aperture's were attached with foam pads and 2 rows of ribbon on the back to support them. To cover the ribbon I added some more tags on the back and those you could stamp and write your greeting on.

The Magic of Christmas from Craftwork Cards

A couple of weeks ago I demoed this years new Christmas kit from Craftwork Cards. There is also a tag and bow pad to co-ordinate. Over the next few days I will post some of the cards I made.

This card uses the larger bows from the pad but I snipped them in half to make a wreath. There are sentiment die cuts in the kit and to make them more of an embellishment I die cut a circle around the sentiment. That was mattered onto a larger die cut circle and then attached that to the remains of the original die cut. I then added some more layers of circles behind. I used some foam pads between. I finished off with a little bow from the pad. There is co-ordinating candi in the kit, I just added some in each corner. The wreath is then matted onto some brown, kraft and paper from the pad. The size of the card is 8" square.

The second card has an embossed square, its one of last years 6" Die-sire snowflake embossing folders. I die cut a circle in the centre and a smaller one in green to go behind. I picked the robin design paper from the pad and that was cut to go behind the circle. Finished off with a red bow from the pad and some Tim Holtz Distress glitter in the centres of the snowflakes and some ink around the edges. I trimmed down one of the sentiment die cuts, so it fitted better on the card.

back tomorrow with some more card samples, kits are available from The
Forget Me Knot Kraft Kabin Ashingdon.
