Memory Box Pinpoint Leaf Circle

This is the last card I did from my kit. I used the smallest flowers from the Vintage Lace set. I cut a frame using the Pinpoint Leaf circle die and this die cuts the middle out. I backed it with some grey card and added a sentiment. The papers were in the kit and I added some tiny black gems in the flower centers.

Flower Foam Anniversary Card

Included in my kit last month was a sheet of flower foam. I use Crafters Companion one but there are a lot of different ones on the market. I used white and coloured with ink but you can buy them in lots of colours. I die cut the foam flowers and then heated them on an old travel iron to shape. I made a center opening card and cut a heart from a stitched heart die set. The leaves are a old Stampin Up punch and I used an old EK Success ticket punch for the sentiment.

Here is the next card from my last months kit using the Vintage Lace flower dies. This time I used the smaller dies and used a lovely thin frame die from Sizzix cut in Rose Gold mirror card. I cut two of them and offset them on the card. I used the same Polkadoodles papers for the flowers as in previous cards. I punched some leaves in the mirror card and finished off with a sentiments and a few Nuvo drops in the flower centers.

Hanging Basket

Todays card uses the smallest flowers from the Crafters Companion Vintage Lace dies. I cut them in different tones of Yellows and Oranges. I punched some little leaves from a old Martha Stewart punch. The basket itself is a SVG and I used some old 12x12 papers I picked up at a show years ago for the basket liner. The background is a embossing folder from Stampin Up. Finished off with a sentiment, twine and little Black pearls in flower centers.

It's Snow Time

I have made another few cards using the Snow stamp and die set from Crafters Companion. This time I stamped the image with a Wow embossing ink pad and sprinkled it with one of my favourite Wow powders Platinum Sparkle.  After heating with a heat gun I die cut the word out with the matching die. I dug out some old glitter card and die cut my snowflakes using a John Next Door die and arranged them around where my Snow word was going to go. The snowflakes are flat and the word is on foam pads. I finished it off with some extra wording stamps that come in the set and added some gems to the snowflakes.

One layer card no. 5

Today's card has one layer of cardstock that the die has been cut from. It's a new die this year from Hobbycraft called Winter Scene. I die cut the image first in some White card and that was going to be going on top. I used the negative piece it left as a mask by laying on the card blank in the middle and carefully blending some ink over the negative cut out. To do the snow drifts I tore some paper and put across the negative mask and blended more ink , moving the paper to create the effect of drifts. I was careful not to bring the Blue ink down to where the Stag is as I wanted this part White. I used a fine tipped glue to add the die cut to the inked background. I then filled in some glue around the Stag area and sprinkled with glitter. I finished off with a sentiment. I think the scene in the background would look good with a few trees stamped in Black but I couldn't find anything something small enough.

One layer card no.4

A cutie today, using the Crafters Companion Snowman stamp. I started off die cutting a circle in a large post it note or you can you thin card or copier paper. I placed that in the middle of the card blank, its a smaller 5" square. I started by stamping the Snowman inside the circle, I then stamped him again on a post it note and cut him out to use as a mask. I placed that over the already stamped image then stamped the Christmas tree to the right of him, overlapping the post it note and the edge of the circle. Next I tore some paper to make the snow drifts. I gently blended ink in different places and blended heavier in some places. I then blended some more of the ink up and around the circle mask. After I removed all the post it notes I coloured the snowman with pencils for a change and added the sentiment that comes with him. I finished off with a White gel pen to create some snow and some glitter around the ground. This card is all on the card blank so completely flat.

One layer card no. 3

A while ago I used a Crafters Companion Snow stamp and die set with a cute snowman stamp. Today's card uses another of their word sets "Merry". You get the stamp, the die to cut the word out and some coordinating little stamps. I have done two versions of this card, this first is all stamped on the card blank and the second is the same design but done on a white stitched rectangle mat on a coloured card base.

I used some very old bauble stamps from Papertrey Ink. I wanted a stamp with a more solid image and I used two shades of turquoise ink from a Altenew set. Using the top printed sheet you get in alot of stamp sets, I planned where I wanted the baubles to be. Once stamped I drew a line with a Silver gel pen. I then positioned the "Merry" in my stamp positioner and stamped the word and the "little Christmas" stamp. I added some glitter Nuvo drops on the baubles. It would be a great card from mass producing.

The second card I did in one shade of ink that matched the cardstock base and I used another little stamp in the set. I added some gems this time and both are top folding cards.

Baby card

Happy Friday, its the weekend and I hope you are spending sometime crafting. Today I am sharing the card I made for my grandsons arrival this week. I used a old Sue Wilson embossing folders, which has tiny hearts on it. The die is from Marianne and I wanted the giraffe popping through the heart die. I used some scraps of Bazzill cardstock to make him. I used some old sentiment stamps from Clearly Besotted to go in the middle of the heart.  Finished off with the fabulous Itty Bitty bow which sadly you can't get anymore.

Fun Fold card no. 8

Happy Tuesday, another fun fold card today that's called an inner shadow box or tunnel card. I made it for my daughters friend, who has just had a baby. I have made this card before and followed the tutorial from Jennifer Mcguire, the link is here. Once you have got the concept of the card fold, you can easily adapt it to make it bigger or smaller. The elephant is a old stamp from Crafters Companion Humphrey' Corner collection. You could of course use anything to fit in the middle. This little elephant is my go to for baby cards and I have coloured the image with alcohol pens. I die cut a circle for the front and just stamped and coloured the elephant on part of the circle.  I then added a sentiment and instead of doing it on white card I used a coordinating pink plain card and stamped in black ink. I finished off with a stamped verse on the inside front cover, which is actually easier to do before you glue the shadow part of the card. I added a pink circle die cut behind the elephant to make it stand out abit more and my I added some foam pads behind the coloured image.

Foamiran Flowers

Happy Sunday to you all. So I have a few cards I can post now as the recipients have had their birthdays and I wont spoil the surprise. Today's card uses Foamiran to create the flowers, if you are not sure what that is, its very thin foam. It can be die cut, coloured and manipulated into making realistic flowers. This foam started off white and I coloured it with Distress Inks. I used Green foam for the leaves. I used my little iron to help shape the leaves and petals, there are other versions of this foam out there where the heat of your hands are enough. Its a large card and its very dimensional so I made box for it to go in as an envelope was not deep enough. I knew it wasn't being posted so that helped.

Products used:

White and Green Foamiran
Annamarie Paper Pad Peach Collection
Crafters Companion Peony Collection dies

Sue Wilson sentiment die
Distress Inks: Spiced Marmalade,Dried Marigold and Frayed Burlap

Enjoy whats left of your weekend and I will be back soon with more cards.

Shaker card

Another card from my folder I never got around to posting about. This was my daughters card and it was difficult to photograph. It’s a ptent style with an aperture created by a Papertrey Ink Die . I attached some acetate and sequins to make the shaker element. The cup cakes have been coloured with Spectrum Noir Glitter Pens. Finished off with a Lawn Fawn die and stamp set Happy Birthday. I did add a little banner punch at top which is from Stampin Up with a little Anna Marie stamp. I die cut one of my Presscut Stitched Rectangle dies on some wood effect paper from stash for the background. I finished off with a few clear sequins.
